Specifies whether the opportunistic-locking (oplock) performance enhancement is enabled. If enabled, the redirector requests an opportunistic lock on any file opened in "Deny None" mode. As a result, the server performs automatic read-ahead and write-behind caching on behalf of the redirector.

This entry does not exist in the registry by default. You can add it by using the registry editor Regedit.exe.

- Opportunistic locks improve performance significantly. Do not change the value of this entry unless you are testing the system.
