Browse the directory tree using Ldp.exe

To browse the directory tree using Ldp.exe

  1. Connect and bind to an ADAM instance using Ldp.exe.

  2. On the View menu, click Tree.

  3. In the Tree View dialog box, do one of the following:

    • To view all directory partitions on the ADAM instance, click OK.

    • To view only a specific directory partition on the ADAM instance, type the distinguished name of the directory partition in BaseDN, and then click OK.

  4. In the console tree, double-click a directory partition object to view its top-level containers.

  5. Double-click a top-level container to view the next level of objects in that container.

  6. Do one of the following:

    • Continue double-clicking the next lowest container level to continue down a directory tree branch.

    • To view a directory object at the current directory level, double-click the object in the console tree, and then, in the details pane, view object details.

Notes

  • To open Ldp.exe, click Start, point to All Programs, point to ADAM, click ADAM Tools Command Prompt, and then type ldp at the command prompt.
