Need a lot more Help With Keeping "Drivers" Up to date( Know nothing about them)      carolinagirl ... Alloting drivers   |   Edit   |   Show History
I try very hard and keep our computer up to date ,but we always end up having one problem or another.I never know if my "Drivers" are up to date. I don't know enough about them, and the first time I took it upon myself to update a driver from the recommended updates ,I ended up having to place a service call to Dell to fix my computer. So my husband dares me to to even read the recommended updates, although I do from time to time. But everytime I might run one of these scans on my computer to tell me why it's going so slow or whatever, I always get back I have some drivers out of date. See, I do the automatic updates, so I won't mess up anything,Is there someway,if we entered our computer Brand and printers Brand then the automatic updates could incorporate driver updates also in the automatic updates, so if you're not familiar with that part of the computer then they would be kept up to date. They seem to be pretty important from what little experince I've heard about them, and the registry also. If this is not feasible, then what can I do or you suggest that I do to solve my problem.Windows now ,will just shut down in the middle of something for no apparet reason. And we have DSL and it;s very slow.I don't know what to do. Any help that you may give me would certainly be appreciated.I try and read as much as I can and ask the Nerds on the internet, from time to time, because I wasn't aware that this support was here. Which is nice.Because I didn't know WHO to trust.Thank you for listening to my concerns today.
