Description

Specifies whether the Windows user interface (typically, Explorer.exe) restarts automatically if it stops unexpectedly.

 

Value Meaning

0

If the Windows user interface or one of its components stops unexpectedly, the user must restart the interface.

1

If the Windows user interface or one of its components stops unexpectedly, the interface restarts automatically.

Note

  • The user can restart the interface either by logging off and logging on again, or by pressing Control-Alt-Del, selecting Task Manager, then from the File menu, selecting Run and typing "Explorer.exe".
