The SECURITY key contains security information used by the system and network.
The information in the SECURITY key is not viewable by users of Windows XP Professional, and should not be edited directly in Windows Server 2003. All the data in this key is in binary form.
To change configurations that are specified by information in this key, use the tools designed for configuring Group Policy, Security Policy, and Active Directory, and other tools designed for managing computers and users.
Caution
- Do not modify or add entries in the SECURITY key. Doing so could prevent users from logging on to the domain or their computers, and it could require you to restore your entire system.
