Description

Contains commands that are run each time you start Command Processor (Cmd.exe).

Change Method

You can change the value of this entry by using Cmd.exe and typing CMD /D, but only for the duration of that Cmd.exe's execution. For all other changes, you must edit the registry directly.

Activation Method

To make the value of this entry effective, you must restart Cmd.exe.

Note

  • AutoRun can appear in HKLM and HKCU. If both appear in the registry, the system first runs the value of the entry in HKLM, and then it runs the value in HKCU.

  • For more information about the AutoRun feature, at the command prompt, type CMD /?.
