Fixing Network Access Problems

This section provides a description of some common network access problems that you might experience when Windows Firewall is enabled.

Typically, you encounter network access problems when you attempt to perform a task that uses the network or when you try to connect to a resource across a network, such as a printer, computer, or a shared folder or file. From the following list, choose the problem that best describes your situation, and then step through the suggested fix:

• File and Printer Sharing Does Not Work

• Computer Names Do Not Resolve When Used in a UNC Path

• VPN and Remote Access Connections Fail
