Add a connection request policy

Updated: January 21, 2005

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To add a connection request policy

  1. Open Internet Authentication Service.

  2. In the console tree, right-click Connection Request Policies, and then click New Connection Request Policy.

    Where?

    • Internet Authentication Service (Local)/Connection Request Processing/Connection Request Policies

  3. Use the New Connection Request Policy Wizard to configure your connection request policy.

Notes

  • To open Internet Authentication Service, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Internet Authentication Service.

  • You are not required to configure a remote RADIUS server group before you create a connection request policy that forwards authentication or accounting messages. You can create a remote RADIUS server group in the New Connection Request Policy Wizard.

Information about functional differences

  • Your server might function differently based on the version and edition of the operating system that is installed, your account permissions, and your menu settings. For more information, see Viewing Help on the Web.
