Description

The Conferencing subkey is one of two subkeys that store entries for Group Policy settings for NetMeeting. Group Policy creates and maintains these entries, and the NetMeeting program reads and interprets them.

This subkey stores entries that apply to all users of the computer. The system adds these entries when you configure a NetMeeting policy setting in the Computer Configuration folder in Group Policy.

The Conferencing subkey in HKEY_CURRENT_USER stores policy setting related entries that are configured separately for each user. The system adds these entries when you configure a NetMeeting policy setting in the User Configuration folder in Group Policy.

In Group Policy, the NetMeeting ploicy settings appear in the following folders:

  • Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\NetMeeting.

  • User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\NetMeeting.

The NetMeeting Group Policy settings appear only when the Conf.adm administrative template file is added to Group Policy. Conf.adm is included in Windows Server 2003 (at Systemroot\inf\conf.adm), but it is not loaded automatically. For instructions, see Help for Group Policy.
