Reveal the services node

To reveal the services node

  1. Open Active Directory Sites and Services.

  2. In the console tree, right-click Active Directory Sites and Services, point to View, and then click Show Services Node.

Notes

  • Performing this task does not require you to have administrative credentials. Therefore, as a security best practice, consider performing this task as a user without administrative credentials.

  • To open Active Directory Sites and Services, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Active Directory Sites and Services.

  • Show Services Node is a persistent setting.

  • Managing objects located in the Services container from within Active Directory Sites and Services provides limited functionality. It is recommended that you use other appropriate administrative tools, including ADSI Edit, for managing objects located in the Services container. For more information, see Related Topics.
