Managing Resets, Startup, and Shutdown

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

Because Windows Firewall and the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing service are disabled by default on Windows Server 2003, you must manage the initial startup of these components. In addition, you might have to manage the shutdown of Windows Firewall and the restoration of Windows Firewall settings.
