Manage Server Connections

With Storage Manager for SANs, you can configure the connections that servers in your SAN will use to access the LUNs that you create on your storage subsystems. Before you assign a LUN to a server or to a cluster, you must first configure the connections on each server that will access the LUN.
The configuration of Fibre Channel connections is different from that of iSCSI connections. This section explains those differences, lists the steps to create each type of connection, offers information about enabling more than one connection from a server or cluster to a LUN (Multipath I/O), and explains how to provide storage for server clusters.
