Scheduling Differential Database Backups by Using SQL Server Enterprise Manager

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

You can use SQL Server Enterprise Manager to schedule differential database backups of the MIIS database.

To back up the database by using SQL Server Enterprise Manager

  1. In Microsoft SQL Server, click Enterprise Manager.

  2. Expand the server group where the MicrosoftIdentityIntegrationServer database is located, and then expand the server.

  3. On the Tools menu, click Backup Database.

  4. In the Database list, click MicrosoftIdentityIntegrationServer.

  5. Under Backup, click Database - differential.

  6. Under Destination, select the backup device on which you want the backup to be performed.

  7. Select the Schedule check box, and then click the ellipsis (…) next to the Schedule check box.

  8. In the Edit Schedule dialog box, click Change, and then set the frequency of the backup schedule in the Edit Recurring Schedule dialog box.

  9. Click OK three times to return to Enterprise Manager.
