Deploy the First Forest Root Domain Controller

To deploy the first domain controller in the forest root domain, complete the following tasks:

  • Install Windows Server 2003

  • Install Active Directory

  • Verify the Active Directory installation

  • Configure the Windows Time Service

  • Verify DNS server recursive name resolution
