Nslookup /set defname

Appends the default Domain Name System (DNS) domain name to a single component lookup request. A single component is a component that contains no periods.

Syntax

set [no]defname

Parameters

Parameter	Description
nodefname	Stops appending the default Domain Name System (DNS) domain name to a single component lookup request.
defname	Appends the default Domain Name System (DNS) domain name to a single component lookup request. The default syntax is defname.
{help \| ?}	Displays a short summary of nslookup subcommands.
