Exchange Server 5.5 Service Pack 4 (SP4) is a cumulative release that contains all of the updates to Exchange Server 5.5. For an overview or to order SP4 on CD, see the Exchange Server 5.5 SP4 Downloads Overview page. To download SP4, follow the instructions on this page.

Important: Be sure to make and verify a complete backup of your server running Exchange Server 5.5 before installing this service pack. The service pack cannot be uninstalled.

To download and install SP4:

  1. Create a folder named SP4 on your local hard drive.

  2. Download all of the compressed files listed in the table on this page to the SP4 folder. The files are separated to speed download time.

  3. At the Microsoft Windows NT command prompt, switch to the SP4 folder, type the name of a compressed file, and then press ENTER to display the self-extracting dialog box.

  4. In the Unzip To Folder box, type the location of the SP4 folder. Click the Unzip button. Once the self-extraction process is complete, click OK, and then click Close.
