Adding ESX Server Hosts

The only time you need to add an ESX Server host to VMM is when you add a new ESX Server host to VMware VirtualCenter after adding the VirtualCenter server to VMM. For a procedure, see How to Add an ESX Server Host to VMM (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=145527).

You do not need to add ESX Server hosts that VirtualCenter was managing when you added the VirtualCenter server to VMM. When you add a VirtualCenter server to VMM, VMM adds existing hosts automatically with an initial status of OK (Limited) until you provide the security information to enable file transfer operations on each host.
