Running Nonnative Applications in Windows 2000 Professional

You can run applications created for Microsoft Windows 95 and Microsoft Windows 98, 16-bit Windows, Microsoft MS-DOS, OS/2, and the Portable Operating System Interface for UNIX (POSIX) standard under Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional. Windows 2000 Professional uses subsystems and processes that emulate the operating systems under which these applications run.
