CHKNTFS cannot be used for the cdrom drive drive letter.
The drive letter specified in the chkntfs command line references a CDROM. chkntfs cannot verify or fix a CDROM drive.
Verify that you have entered the correct drive letter. Open Windows 2000 Explorer and verify the drives that are attached to the computer. Run chkntfs again and exclude the specified drive using the /X option. Then specify the correct drive on the command line and reboot the system.
