E-mail Anti-spam Configuration

The following table lists the e-mail anti-spam settings that are configured by default for the Edge Transport role in Exchange Server in Windows EBS. These settings determine how the anti-spam features in Exchange Server act on e-mail messages in your environment to help reduce the amount of spam.

Anti-spam Feature Status Setting

Attachment Filtering

Disabled

No attachment filtering is configured by default in Exchange Server.

Content Filtering

Enabled for external mail

Reject messages that have a SCL rating greater than or equal to is set to 7.

IP Allow List

The Stamp message with Sender ID result and continue processing option is enabled as the action when the Sender ID check fails.

Sender Reputation

  • Perform an open proxy test when determining sender confidence level is enabled.

  • Sender Reputation Level Block Threshold is set to 7.

  • Threshold Action is set to 24 hours.
