How to Delete a Host Group

Use the Delete host group action in Hosts view to delete a host group. Before you can delete a host group, you must move all virtual machine hosts out of the host group and any child host groups.

To delete a host group

  1. In Hosts view, in the navigation pane, navigate to the host group that you want to delete.

  2. In the Actions pane, under Host Group, click Delete.

    Note

    If a host group or any of its child host groups contains any hosts, you cannot delete the host group.
