You can also connect to network printers by entering their printer name (UNC) or URL. Using URLs to access printers is new to Windows 2000 and is dependent on Internet printing. You must know the UNC or URL of the printer to which you want to connect.
Plug and Play makes installing a local printer easier and is provided with Windows 2000 Professional. Finding Plug and Play printers typically is not difficult, because they must be physically plugged into your computer.
