Description
Specifies the maximum size of each roaming user profile.
This entry stores the value you type in the Max Profile Size box in the Limit profile size Group Policy. Group Policy adds this entry to the registry when you enable the policy. If you disable the policy or set it to Not configured, Group Policy deletes this entry from the registry and the system does not limit the size of roaming user profiles.
When a roaming user profile reaches the threshold specified in the value of this entry, the user cannot log off until he or she reduces the profile to a size smaller than or equal to the value of this entry. To aid the user, the system displays the files that make up the user profile, and it prompts the user to delete files from the list.
The related entries in this subkey let you warn the user that the profile is too large before the user tries to log off.
Change method
To change the value of this entry, use Group Policy. This entry corresponds to the Max Profile Size box in the Limit profile size Group Policy (User Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon/Logoff).
Note
This entry is used only when the Limit profile size policy is enabled, that is, when the value of the EnableProfileQuota entry is 1.
