Description

Determines when the system notifies a user that the roaming user profile is too large.

This entry stores the setting of the Notify user when profile storage space is exceeded check box in the Limit profile size Group Policy. Group Policy adds this entry to the registry when you enable the policy. If you disable the policy or set it to Not configured, Group Policy deletes this entry from the registry and the system does not regulate the size of roaming user profiles.

Value

Meaning

0

The check box is cleared. The system notifies the user when he or she tries to log off.

1

The check box is selected. The system notifies the user as soon as it detects that the profile exceeds the permitted maximum size. If the user does not resolve the problem, the system notifies the user when he or she tries to log off.

If the value of the EnableProfileQuota entry is 1 and a roaming user profile exceeds the threshold established by the value of the MaxProfileSize entry, the system does not let the user log off until he or she reduces the profile to a permissible size.

The WarnUser entry lets you notify a user in advance that the profile is too large. When the value of this entry is 1, the system displays the message specified by the value of the ProfileQuotaMessage entry. The message repeats at a rate determined by the value of the WarnUserTimeout entry.

Change method

To change the value of this entry, use Group Policy. This entry corresponds to the Limit profile size Group Policy (User Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon/Logoff). Select or clear the Notify user when profile storage space is exceeded check box.

Note Image Note

This entry is used only when the Limit profile size policy is enabled, that is, when the value of the EnableProfileQuota entry is 1.
