Preparing for Installation

To prepare for a clean installation of Windows 2000 Professional, you need to do the following:

• Create the distribution folder

• Understand how to use the answer file

• Understand the Windows 2000 Setup commands

Note

The principles of performing an automated installation that are described in this section apply to both a clean installation and an upgrade. The most common scenario is to perform a clean installation.
