Description
Specifies the host name portion of the Domain Name System (DNS) name of the computer. The host name is the first label in the DNS name.
Change method
To change the value of this entry, right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Network Identification tab, and then click the Properties button. The host name appears in the Computer name field of the Identification Changes dialog box.
