View a Report

Applies To: Windows HPC Server 2008

In HPC Cluster Manager, you can generate reports for your cluster, and filter those reports to display data that you want to see. You can filter node availability or job reports by duration or date. You can also filter job reports by specific users, projects, services, or templates.

For a table that can help you identify the reports and charts that might be useful for your HPC cluster, see Understanding Charts and Reports. For more information about charts, reports, and other ways of monitoring your cluster, see "Additional references," later in this topic.

For information about using HPC Cluster Manager, see Overview of HPC Cluster Manager.

To view a report

  1. In Charts and Reports, either click Reports to view an overview report summarizing important information from all the reports, or click one of the individual reports:

    • Node Availability

    • Job Resource Usage

    • Job Throughput

    • Job Turnaround

  2. In the views pane, for Date Range, click Day, Week, Month, or Custom, and if appropriate, specify a date:

    • If you selected Day, Week, or Month, click the displayed date or date range and then select from the calendar. If the days in the range that you want are not all shown in bold, data is not available for some of that range—close the calendar and then select a Date Range of Custom instead. (A week is defined as starting on Sunday.)

    • If you selected a Date Range of Custom, specify a range of dates.

  3. If you are viewing a report for jobs (not Node Availability), you can filter the data that you will view. In the views pane, for Group By, select User, Project, Service, or Template, and then specify the user, project, service, or template that you want a report for.

  4. In the views pane, click View Report.
