Files not cached: Examples

Example 1: Adding a file to the default list

In the Extensions box, type the file name extension of all default file types and add the new file type to the list. In this example, we add the .doc file type to the list of default files. (The .doc file name extension is displayed in bold for emphasis.)

*.slm;*.mdb;*.ldb;*.mdw;*.mde;*.pst;*.db?; *.doc

Example 2: Removing a file from the default list

In the Extensions box, type the file name extension of all default file types, except for the type you are removing. In this example, we remove the .slm file type from the list of default files.

*.mdb;*.ldb;*.mdw;*.mde;*.pst;*.db?;

Example 3: Replacing the default list with a customized list

In the Extensions box, type the file name extension(s) of the file types that you do not want the system to cache. As a result, file types that were on the default list of non-cached files are now cached. In this example, we replace the default list with a custom list consisting only of .exe files.

*.exe
