Supporting NonHTTP 1.1Compliant Browsers

Although many non-HTTP 1.1compliant browsers support host headers, some do not, particularly older browser versions. To make your site available to browsers that do not comply with HTTP 1.1, you can send cookies from a Web site. These are objects that are sent to a Web server along with client requests. Another option is to embed a host name in the URL of the Web site (also called URL munging ).
