Enable Distributed COM on this computer check box

Enable COM Internet Services on this computer check box

Select this check box to specify that DCOM communication is available over the Internet for all COM applications that are installed on this computer. This enables DCOM servers on this computer to receive inbound calls from clients that use Tunneling TCP.

Default Distributed COM Communication Properties

Default Authentication Level : Select a system-wide authentication level that COM client and server applications use to verify each other's identities during calls. Levels are listed in order of increasing security.

Default Impersonation Level : Select the system-wide default level of authority that a COM client on this computer can grant to a server application to perform processing tasks on its behalf. Levels are listed in order of increasing authority.

Provide additional security for reference tracking : Select this check box to enable authentication of distributed reference count calls on this computer. When this option is enabled, reference tracking prevents COM clients from releasing objects too early, but it can also decrease performance.
