Copy Application Directory Partitions

Updated: December 30, 2008

Applies To: Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012

On the Copy Application Directory Partitions page, you can specify one or more application directory partitions to copy from the configuration set that you are joining. You are not required to copy any application directory partitions when you join a configuration set.

The configuration and schema directory partitions are always copied from the configuration set that you are joining, even if you choose not to copy any application directory partitions.

noteNote
If Available partitions does not contain any application directory partitions, the Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) instance that you specified on the Joining a Configuration Set page does not contain any application directory partitions.
