Enable DNS Dynamic Updates for Clients

You can use this procedure to enable DNS dynamic updates for clients.

Membership in the Administrators or DHCP Administrators group is the minimum required to complete this procedure.

To enable DNS dynamic updates for clients

  1. Open DHCP.

  2. In the console tree, click the applicable DHCP server.

  3. On the Action menu, click Properties.

  4. Click the DNS tab.

  5. Select the Enable DNS dynamic updates according to the settings below check box.

  6. If needed, modify other DNS update settings.
