MDM Server Deployment Guidelines

Use the following guidelines to help you deploy the System Center Mobile Device Manager system and infrastructure components efficiently and smoothly.
Note
Do not run two or more MDM server installation processes at the same time. If you install multiple MDM servers simultaneously on separate computers in the same MDM instance, the second server installation can overwrite the service connection point (SCP) with incorrect values. If an SCP has incorrect values, MDM services do not start correctly and generate large numbers of log files.
Note
You can use MDM Best Practices Analyzer Tool to analyze a group of servers to determine if prerequisites for deploying MDM 2008 SP1 are met. You can also use the tool to analyze servers post-deployment to verify things such as port settings.
