Logging IAG events to the built-in reporter

Applies To: Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG)

The Whale Communications Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 2007 built-in reporter is enabled by default to allow you to save IAG-related events to a log file. You can then use the IAG Web Monitor to query this event log and to filter events according to type, time, and other parameters. A new event log file is saved every day. By default, log files are saved to the Events folder under Logs folder in the IAG installation path. Note that the Web Monitor can be used only if the built-in reporter is enabled.

Configuring the built-in reporter

Configure the built-in reporter as follows.

To configure the built-in reporter

  1. In the IAG Configuration console, on the Admin menu, click Event Logging.

  2. On the Event Logging dialog box, click the Built-In tab.

  3. Select Enable.

  4. In Location, specify where log files generated by the built-in reporter should be stored.

Note

It is recommended to store log files generated by the built-in reporter on the local IAG server.
