Managing the Microsoft Outlook Web Access 5.5 application in IAG SP2

Applies To: Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG)

Application-specific settings

Once you finish adding a Microsoft Outlook Web Access 5.5 application to a Whale Communications Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 2007 trunk for publishing, you need to assign a unique upload policy to the application.

Warning

Only the pre-defined policy can be used with Outlook Web Access 5.5. Do not use the Default Web Application Upload policy, or any other policy, with this application.

To assign a policy to the application

  1. In the Configuration console, open the Application Properties dialog box.

  2. In the General tab, in the Endpoint Policies area, from the Upload drop-down list, select the policy Microsoft Outlook Web Access 5.5 Upload.

  3. By default, the value of the policy is as follows:

    • The value of the Windows, MAC OS, and Linux platform-specific policies is "True", and they do not prevent uploads from endpoint computers running Windows, MAC OS, or Linux operating systems.

    • The value of the Other platform-specific policy is "False", and it prevents uploads from operating systems other than Windows, MAC OS, or Linux.

If required, change the policy to comply with your corporate policy by removing the default values from the relevant platform-specific policies, and assigning the appropriate values. For more information, see Managing IAG client endpoint policies

  4. On the toolbar of the Configuration console, click the Activate Configuration icon, and then on the Activate Configuration dialog box, click Activate.

When the configuration is activated, the message "IAG configuration activated successfully" appears.

Upload operations described in this section will be blocked on client endpoints that do not comply with the security policy the you define here.
