Get-RMSTemplate

Use the Get-RMSTemplate cmdlet to retrieve the current list of active rights policy templates from the Rights Management Services (RMS) deployment for the organization.


Get-RMSTemplate [-Identity <RmsTemplateIdParameter>] [-DomainController <Fqdn>] [-Organization <OrganizationIdParameter>] [-ResultSize <Unlimited>]

Parameter Required Type Description

DomainController

Optional

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Fqdn

The DomainController parameter specifies the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the domain controller that retrieves data from Active Directory.

Identity

Optional

Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.RmsTemplateIdParameter

The Identity parameter specifies the GUID of the RMS template.

Organization

Optional

Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.OrganizationIdParameter

The Organization parameter is reserved for internal Microsoft use.

ResultSize

Optional

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Unlimited

The ResultSize parameter specifies the maximum number of results to return. The default is 1000. To return all results, use unlimited.

You need to be assigned permissions before you can run this cmdlet. Although all parameters for this cmdlet are listed in this topic, you may not have access to some parameters if they're not included in the permissions assigned to you. This example retrieves all RMS templates available from the RMS deployment.

Get-RMSTemplate -ResultSize unlimited

This example retrieves the RMS template referenced by its GUID cf5cf348-a8d7-40d5-91ef-a600b88a395d.
