What's Changed

For those of you who follow our regular monthly columns, we have two new additions. They are The Cable Guy, a column dealing with networking issues, and Professor Windows, expounding on the mysteries of Windows administration. Give these a try and let us know what you think.

In our continuing effort to make critical information about our products more accessible to you, we've posted the Commerce Server 2000 product documentation. This is the same documentation you receive if you purchase the product. Use it to answer questions on installation, deployment, or administration, or to decide if Commerce Server 2000 will meet your needs. It joins the Host Integration Server 2000 product documentation, also posted on TechNet. Both of these products are available in free evaluation editions, as are many of the other enterprise server products. These evaluation editions are included with your TechNet Plus subscription.

In Times to Come

We have an exciting series of e-commerce architecture and operations guides coming soon. They will detail how to construct an e-commerce site from the ground up. They start with a complete list of the hardware and the software you need, and include all the configuration settings as well as detailed instructions for deployment. This series will have you up and running in no time, and give you the flexibility to change or grow your site with changing business conditions. Keep an eye on our E-Commerce Center for more information.

For those of you who read our Exchange 2000 Server Upgrade Series Preview, we now have a revised version available to you. We listened to your feedback and made changes based on what you've sent us. If you think your organization may be deploying Exchange 2000 in the near future, then the Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Upgrade Series Preview is for you.

If you are an ISP, you'll be excited to hear about the Scalable Hosting Solution available as a download. Windows 2000 with Internet Information Services greatly expanded the ability to host thousands of sites on a single computer. Now, this ISAPI filter makes it possible to host thousands more sites than before.

Technical Chats

Our chats continue. Chat with the product development and support staff. Ask them your toughest questions. If you miss a chat, you can review the transcripts, usually posted about three weeks after the chat.
