Windows Server® 2008 Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista® Service Pack 2 include all the previously released updates for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista. Many of these updates are available to the public on the Microsoft® Download Center and Windows® Update, while others are only available to specific customers or partners. It is a standard practice to include all of these updates in a service pack, and they are included in Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista Service Pack 2.

For a list of these updates with links to their descriptive pages on the Microsoft Web Support site, download the HotFix List for Windows Server 2008 SP2 and Windows Vista SP2 (Microsoft Excel spreadsheet).

Windows Vista Service Pack 2 problems: Display does not work      MukundKhisty ... KukluxKlan   |   Edit   |   Show History
Hello,

I istalled service pack 2 for Vista and since then my dispay is distorted.

I worked with microsoft technicians for more than 2 days and we installed, uninstalled, re-installed dispaly driver multiple times, for no positive results.

We also tried system restore to go back to SP1 with a little luck. The system cannot be restored back to its original state.

My display is very much distorted and its hard to work..... More importantly, I'm stuck and may have to rebuild the Laptop. (BTW, its Toshiba satellite).

Any help????

SLI with Vista 64bit SP2 update      draytalon ... AAAMAZASBBB   |   Edit   |   Show History
My PC updated to the SP2 for Vista Ultimate 64bit OS, but since doing this it cancelled my SLI configuration, not a problem, i go into my Nvidia setup program and select the SLI setup, the computer prompts me if i want to go ahead with this change, so i select 'yes', but this is where it goes all wrong, the mouse icon shows me that its working by the animated circle, but after about 30 secs the pc shits down and reboots, but all it does is stay on a black screen, i have to reboot into safe mode and reinstall the drivers to be able to disable the SLI setup so i can boot normally to the desktop. Now all this has just recently happened when i updated to SP2, when i was on SP1 there was no conflicts. Do you or anyone else know whats going wrong.

Regards

John Banks

Service Pack 2, all screwed up, the sequel.      Randy Pettie   |   Edit   |   Show History
My notebook keeps trying to allow the update with service pack 2 but all it does is freez up the whole system and crash it! I've allowed it to do so 3 times, figuring the third time is the charm and........ Doh!! So Microsoft, keep it away, please!! I thought it took knowledge to be a programmer?
Hard Drive Space Issues with Sony Acid Pro 7.0      Tbarr   |   Edit   |   Show History
Hi Microsoft
I updated my vista system to sp2 - 32 bit. I ran into a problem with installing Sony Acid Pro 7. It was running sluggish on the system prior to the updates and thought sp2 might speed things up. Instead as the install process was going up popped a message saying that the hard drive space was full and that I would have to delete programs in order to install the program. I had about 80Gigs worth of free hard drive space?

Help!
