If you are a corporate administrator, you can specify the location where your users install Internet Explorer and the other Internet components. You can also determine whether users can choose a different installation folder.
To allow users to change the location, click Allow the user to choose the installation directory. If you select this option, the folder or path that you specify appears as the default location.
If you click Install in the specified folder within the Windows folder or Install in the specified folder within the Program Files folder, Internet Explorer is installed in the subfolder shown in the box.
If you click Specify the full path of a custom folder, you can enter the path you want. If this path does not exist on the user's hard disk, it is created.
If Internet Explorer is already installed on the user's computer, the new version is installed over the existing version. The customized browser is not then installed in the custom location that you specify.
