Set-CalendarNotification

Use the Set-CalendarNotification cmdlet to set text message notifications for calendar events for a user.

Set-CalendarNotification -Identity <MailboxIdParameter> [-CalendarUpdateNotification <$true | $false>] [-CalendarUpdateSendDuringWorkHour <$true | $false>] [-Confirm [<SwitchParameter>]] [-DailyAgendaNotification <$true | $false>] [-DailyAgendaNotificationSendTime <TimeSpan>] [-DomainController <Fqdn>] [-IgnoreDefaultScope <SwitchParameter>] [-MeetingReminderNotification <$true | $false>] [-MeetingReminderSendDuringWorkHour <$true | $false>] [-NextDays <Int32>] [-WhatIf [<SwitchParameter>]]

This example enables calendar updates to be sent in text messages to the user Tony Smith.

Set-CalendarNotification -Identity "tony@contoso.com" -CalendarUpdateNotification $true

This example enables calendar updates and meeting reminders to be sent in text messages to the user Tony Smith.

Set-CalendarNotification -Identity "TonySmith" -CalendarUpdateNotification $true -MeetingReminderNotification $true -MeetingReminderSendDuringWorkHour $true

This example enables a daily agenda to be sent in text messages to the user Tony Smith.

Set-CalendarNotification -Identity contoso\tonysmith -DailyAgendaNotification $true

Users can receive text message notifications of changes to calendar events and daily agendas. Use the Set-CalendarNotification cmdlet to configure these notifications for a user.

You need to be assigned permissions before you can run this cmdlet. Although all parameters for this cmdlet are listed in this topic, you may not have access to some parameters if they're not included in the permissions assigned to you. To see what permissions you need, see the "Text messaging settings" entry in the Clients and Mobile Devices Permissions topic.

The Identity parameter specifies the mailbox ID for the user.

CalendarUpdateNotification

The CalendarUpdateNotification parameter specifies whether calendar notifications are enabled for the user.

CalendarUpdateSendDuringWorkHour

Optional

System.Boolean

The CalendarUpdateSendDuringWorkHour parameter specifies whether calendar notifications are sent during working hours.

Confirm

Optional

System.Management.Automation.SwitchParameter

The Confirm switch causes the command to pause processing and requires you to acknowledge what the command will do before processing continues. You don't have to specify a value with the Confirm switch.

DailyAgendaNotification

Optional

System.Boolean

The DailyAgendaNotification parameter specifies whether a daily agenda should be sent to the user's mobile phone.

DailyAgendaNotificationSendTime

Optional

System.TimeSpan

The DailyAgendaNotificationSendTime parameter specifies the time to send the daily agenda.

To specify a value, enter it as a time span: dd.hh:mm:ss where d = days, h = hours, m = minutes, and s = seconds.

For example, a time span of 2 days and 8 hours is shown: 02.08:00:00.

DomainController

Optional

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Fqdn

The DomainController parameter specifies the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the domain controller that writes this configuration change to Active Directory.

IgnoreDefaultScope

Optional

System.Management.Automation.SwitchParameter

The IgnoreDefaultScope parameter isn't implemented yet.

MeetingReminderNotification

The MeetingReminderNotification parameter specifies whether meeting reminders are sent to the user's mobile phone.

MeetingReminderSendDuringWorkHour

Optional

The MeetingReminderSendDuringWorkHour parameter specifies whether meeting reminders are only sent during working hours.

NextDays

Optional

System.Int32

The NextDays parameter specifies how many days should be sent in the daily agenda.

WhatIf

Optional

System.Management.Automation.SwitchParameter

The WhatIf switch instructs the command to simulate the actions that it would take on the object. By using the WhatIf switch, you can view what changes would occur without having to apply any of those changes. You don't have to specify a value with the WhatIf switch.
