The Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant is an new integrated call management client application that enables a user to effectively manage many conversations at once through rapid call handling, instant messaging, and on-screen routing. It is designed for administrative assistants, team delegates, receptionists, and other users who must handle multiple calls and conversations at once.

The Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant console is a single full-screen window that enables the user to view all conversations at once, along with a Contact List. It includes consult and transfer features so that the user can route calls quickly and systematically.

Integrated caller history and conversation notes provide a context to callers as they appear on the screen. Communications Server Attendant also enables a user to accept calls targeted at another person (for example, an assistant answering a call for the assistant’s boss).
