Configuring an array of Forefront TMG servers

You can join a Forefront TMG server to a standalone array or to an enterprise array centrally managed by an Enterprise Management Server (EMS).

When joining Forefront TMG to a standalone array, new policies and configurations are updated from a single Forefront TMG server, which is defined as the array manager. If you require managing more than a single array, you can install an EMS in order to centrally manage all the arrays in your network. From a single point, you can apply enterprise policies and manage configuration updates to all arrays in the EMS.
