Installing Administrative Tools

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

In Office Communications Server 2007 R2, the Office Communications Server administrative tools are not installed by default. To install the administrative tools on a computer running Office Communications Server 2007 R2 or on another computer, such as a management console from which you want to centrally manage Office Communications Server 2007 R2 servers and users, you can use the Deployment Wizard to install the administrative tools, including Response Group Service and Communicator Web Access. For a description of each of these tools, see Administrative Consoles in the Planning and Architecture documentation.

Important

Before installing the administrative tools, verify that all prerequisites have been met, including operating system requirements and installation of required updates. For details, see Administrative Tools Software Requirements in the Supported Topologies and Infrastructure Requirements documentation.

Use one of the following two procedures to install the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 administrative tools on a computer running a 64-bit version of the operating system or a 32-bit version of the operating system.
