How to Specify the Number of Rollbacks to Keep

This topic provides steps for specifying the number of rollbacks to keep in Commerce Server Staging (CSS). This setting is a global setting at the server level that affects all the projects on a Commerce Server computer.

If you specify three as the number of rollbacks to keep, and you rollback content one time on three different projects, CSS will display an error message on subsequent rollbacks.

Rollbacks only apply to Web content projects. CSS does not support rollbacks of Business Data projects.

To specify the number of rollbacks to keep

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and then click Commerce Server Staging.

  2. In the Commerce Server Staging console, in the left pane, expand Commerce Server Staging, right-click <server name>, and then click Properties.

  3. In the Commerce Server Staging <servername> Properties dialog box, on the Advanced tab, for the Rollbacks to keep option, type the number of rollbacks to allow for on the server (you can also click the scroll arrows to select a number), and then click OK.
