I am also doing this same thing. You say your a student and tring to configure you Virtual Server to be a domain. what school are you with we may be able to get together though it I am going to Kaplan University Online. if it is permited you may also e-mail me @ iamliki@hotmail.com
I am right now on my Unit 5 with the configuering of my WS2008 I am using the VBox as my vertual pc and have the server installed within it or on it. write me and lets see if we can get you up and running there.
