Install Windows Server 2008 Standard

You can use Windows EBS Premium to run Windows Server 2008 Standard and SQL Server 2008 Standard on a fourth server. You must ensure that your fourth server meets the hardware requirements for both Windows Server 2008 Standard and SQL Server 2008 Standard.

Installing Windows Server 2008 Standard

Windows EBS Premium includes a licensing requirement that the fourth server must run Windows Server 2008 Standard and can be run only in the Windows EBS domain. For more information about installing Windows Server 2008 Standard, see “Installing Windows Server 2008” at the Microsoft Web site (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=104824).

After you install the fourth server, join it to the Windows EBS domain by using native Windows Server 2008. After you join the fourth server to the domain, you can view it in the Windows EBS Console by clicking the Computers and Devices tab. For more information about joining a server to the domain, see “Join the Computer to the Domain” at the Microsoft Web site (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=137354).
