Recovering a SharePoint Web Application

Follow the procedure outlined in this section to recover a Web application protected by SharePoint.
Procedure to recover a Web application
Create a Web application in the target farm.
Note
If you want to retain the same URL for the application, ensure that the host header and port are the same as the original application.
Restore all the databases in that Web application to either the original location or to a different SQL Server.
Attach each content database to the Web application using the stsadm command or from the Central Administrator site.
