Assign Location Profiles

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

Because location profiles are stored in the Active Directory Domain Services, Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Mediation Server, will have access to the existing profile information. Even so, you should verify your configuration.

To verify the configuration of Location Profiles:

  1. Start the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 snap-in.

  2. In the console tree, expand Global Settings, and then click Voice Settings.

  3. Review the location profile settings.

After you have verified the location profiles, you will need to assign a default location profile to each Office Communications Server 2007 R2 pool that hosts Enterprise Voice users. For details, see Step 4. Assign Location Profile to Pool in the Deploying Enterprise Voice documentation.
