Configuring Archiving and Meeting Compliance

To record content, activities, and instant message conversations, Office Communications Server 2007 R2 includes the following:

  • Archiving enables you to archive instant messaging (IM) conversations for your organization. Messages from both two-party and multi-party IM sessions can be archived. To use Archiving, you must first deploy an Archiving Server. For details, see the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Archiving Server Deployment Guide documentation.
  • Meeting compliance provides a way to record meeting activities and the content that is uploaded during a meeting. This does not require a separate server role to implement.
