Preparing for Backup and Recovery

Topic Last Modified: 2009-03-03

Office Communications Server 2007 R2 stores the data and settings required for operation and use. If one or more services become unavailable to users, the backed up data and settings must be available so you can bring the service back online in a timely manner. To effectively prepare for the backing up of the required data and settings for your organization and, if necessary, restoration of service, you should understand the requirements and options for both backup and restoration. You should also determine the appropriate backup and restoration strategy for your organization; then you can create and document a complete plan for backup and restoration. This plan should include information about the maintenance and implementation of the plan.
